Deadline Engine calculates from encoded procedural rules, so when the rules change, the encoding changes, and that change is recorded here. Rules are currently reviewed as current to June 2026. Amendments that have been announced but are not yet in force are applied from their commencement date, not before.
Seventy-three deadlines across the sheriff courts, the Court of Session, tribunals and statutory appeals. The engine counts by the statutory wording: periods "beginning with" an event count the trigger day, periods "after" an event exclude it, and each rule records which applies. Scottish bank holidays for 2024 to 2028 are bundled, and entries awaiting primary-source verification are flagged in the calculator.
Flagged Irish entries were checked against the Irish Statute Book, the Revised Acts and courts.ie. Corrections applied include the 30-day tax appeal period moving to s959AF(1) TCA 1997, the RTB appeal window running from service of the Tribunal report and statement, and the removal of an appeal route abolished by SI 469/2018. The 28-day Circuit Court to High Court appeal period was confirmed under Order 61 rule 2(4) as substituted by SI 161/2024, and citations were tightened to pinpoint subsections throughout.
Over sixty deadlines under the Rules of the Superior Courts and statutory schemes, with Order 122 counting, court office closure handling, the August pleading pause, and the PIAB section 50 limitation pause.
The ICC calculator applies the 2026 ICC Rules of Arbitration, in force from 1 June 2026. Institutional calculators state the rule edition they encode.
The England and Wales rule sets, covering the CPR, family, criminal, employment tribunal and specialist practice areas, were reviewed against the procedural rules and bank holiday data current to June 2026.
