Disclaimer
Not legal advice.
Deadline Engine calculates dates from encoded procedural rules. It is software, not legal advice. Using it does not create a solicitor-client relationship, andJoao Vitor Humenhuk Achutti does not approve an output for your matter.
Professional responsibility
You are responsible for checking every calculated date against the current cited source, your professional judgement, the jurisdiction, the facts and any court order, agreement or local practice that changes the ordinary timetable. You are also responsible for deciding which deadline applies, recording it in your operative diary and taking the required step.
No warranty
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. Publishing a calculator means only that its calculation path is available; it does not mean that a lawyer has verified the output for your matter. Procedural codes, court orders, local practice and public holidays change, and edge cases exist. A paid record stores a calculation; it is not assurance, a legal opinion or a warranty of the operative date.
Limitation of liability
Deadline Engine is not sold as a primary diary or as an assumption of your duty to identify or comply with a deadline. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Joao Vitor Humenhuk Achutti excludes liability for use of an output without the checks described above, and limits its remaining liability as set out in the Terms of Service. Nothing on this page excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Reporting errors
If you identify a calculation you believe is wrong, please report it so we can investigate and publish a correction. Email deadlineengine@thesmios.com with the trigger date, practice area, and expected result.
