Calculation basis and source
- Period

- Trigger

This route remains in preparation until a pinpoint official source is recorded.
- Section 21(1) - extendable by agreement, not shortenable.
- Section 15 relocates the START of the FIFTEEN-YEAR ultimate period only - it says 'for the purpose of clause 8(1)(b)'. It does NOT fix the two-year discovery period, which continues to run from discovery under s 8(1)(a) and s 8(2) and will almost always be the operative constraint in practice. Do not present s 15 as giving a defendant fifteen years to claim over; test the two-year discovery limb as well and take the earlier.
