Calculation basis and source
- Period

- Holiday, closure and order treatment must be independently documented before publication.
This route remains in preparation until a pinpoint official source is recorded.
- This is a statutory relieving provision, not a discretion. It cannot be enlarged.
- The six months are NOT a deadline for taking a step. They mark the outer limit of the window within which the defendant must have acquired sufficient knowledge of the added claim. There is no deadline for making the amendment itself under s 21, though a claim is brought for the purposes of s 1(2)(b) when the amended pleading is filed. Section 21(a) requires no knowledge window at all where the added claim is between existing parties without a change of capacity.
