Do not conflate the two triggers. Rule 44.03.2 requires the respondent to address all submissions of the appellant and of any interveners supporting the appellant. Form 27D, 20 page cap. 'Respondent' includes a defendant or other party opposing before the Full Court (r 44.01.2).
