- Rule 5(3) gives a worked example of this very period: if the claim was sent on 1st May the last day for presentation of the response is 29th May. Rule 15 was amended by SR 2024/197 with effect from 12 December 2024, but only as to multiple respondents and claims, not the 28 day period. Failure to present a response now leads to a default judgment under the amended rule 19.
