- The period of twenty-one days was substituted by the Justice (Northern Ireland) Act 2002 (c. 26). Note 'commencing on the date on which the decision was given', so the decision day counts. Where one party applies to state a case and another lodges an Article 60 notice of appeal, the case stated application takes effect as a notice of appeal unless the parties agree otherwise (RCJ Order 55 rule 5).
