- Rule 6(3) fixes the period as "a time to be appointed by the Appeal Tribunal", so the 28 days is the PD default and is varied by direction. Extensions available on application.
- Note the trigger is the order permitting the CROSS-APPEAL to proceed, not the order permitting the appeal to proceed, so it will usually be a later date. PD 10.3: without a reply "you will not be able to participate in the cross-appeal unless you are granted permission to submit a reply to the cross-appeal out of time or the EAT dispenses with that requirement."
