  • Subject to any contrary order under r.46.10(6). The wording is "any reply", so a reply is not compulsory; no sanction is specified for lateness. Extendable by agreement under r.2.11 or by the court under r.3.1(2)(a).
  • Note the drafting difference from CPR r.47.13(2), which is permissive on its face ("may serve a reply"). Here the obligation is expressed as "must serve any reply" within 14 days, which regulates timing if a reply is served rather than compelling one. Under PD 46 para 6.15 a party may vary its breakdown, points of dispute or reply without permission, though the court may disall
