- Sub-paragraph (c) lets the court specify a different date, and it frequently does (commonly 28 days, or by instalments). Absent a specified date, 14 days applies and the sum becomes enforceable. Not extendable by agreement so as to bind the court, though parties routinely agree forbearance between themselves.
- Applies to default, interim and final costs certificates alike: each "will include an order to pay the costs to which it relates" (rr.47.11(2), 47.16(2), 47.17(5)). Interest on the costs of detailed assessment proceedings runs from the date of the default, interim or final certificate unless the court orders otherwise (r.47.20(6)).
