On the rule text, the words "Unless the Court permits otherwise" open r 6-24(2) and govern only the required CONTENTS of the appearance day notice; the 14 day period in r 6-24(3) is unqualified and is variable only under the general power in r 13-7. The notice must contain a representation that the application can be heard and determined in less than 30 minutes (r 6-24(2)(d)). Appearance day applications are scheduled to commence 30 minutes before chambers is scheduled to commence and are heard by telephone (r 6-25(1)).
