- The court may allow further time, BUT there is an absolute outer limit: the motion must in any event be made before the certificate of decision has been entered. That outer limit is not extendable.
- HARD STOP: entry of the certificate of decision ends the possibility of a rehearing regardless of any extension. There is no rehearing of an appeal except by order of the court or at the instance of the court (r 46.2(1)-(2)).
