- Applies to appeals from final judgments of the Federal Court (s 27(1)(a)), judgments on a question of law determined before trial (s 27(1)(b)), determinations on tribunal references (s 27(1)(d)), and appeals from the Tax Court of Canada under s 27(1.1) and s 27(1.2). The notice of appeal must then be served on all parties directly affected without delay (s 27(3)) and within 10 days after issuance (Federal Courts Rules r 339(1)).
