Calculation basis and source
- Period
- 30 days
- Trigger
- Filing of the appeal record
- Counting
- The encoded calculator method must be independently documented before publication.
- Rollovers and holidays
- Holiday, closure and order treatment must be independently documented before publication.
This route remains in preparation until a pinpoint official source is recorded.
- A justice may dispense or extend under Act s 32 and r 41.
- Trigger is the appellant's own filing of the appeal record, so the appellant controls the start. If the appellant's factum refers to evidence, an appeal book must be filed and served at the same time: r 26(2). Filing the factum together with a copy of each entered order is what makes the appeal 'ready for hearing' under r 32(a), which in turn starts the 60 day inactive-list clock in r 50(1)(b).
