Calculation basis and source
- Period
- 30 days
- Trigger
- Date on which the order was made
- Counting
- The encoded calculator method must be independently documented before publication.
- Rollovers and holidays
- Holiday, closure and order treatment must be independently documented before publication.
This route remains in preparation until a pinpoint official source is recorded.
- The rule itself contains the extension power: "unless an appeal judge extends the time". Party agreement is barred by r 14.2(3).
- Note this is 30 DAYS and runs from the date the ORDER WAS MADE, not from the r 14.8(1) "date of decision" which can be later where reasons follow. It is shorter than and structurally different from the general r 14.8 one month period. There is an absolute bar in r 14.4(5)(a) on appealing a divorce judgment once the divorce takes effect.
