- The Court may order an extension of the 21 days (r 53(6) refers to "any extension of that period ordered by the Court").
- Note the contrast with the Court of Appeal, where the equivalent respondent's period is only 7 days. Consequence of silence under r 53(6): the respondent is not entitled to take part or be heard and is not a party to the appeal. Any cross appeal must be included in the Form 8 (r 53(3)).
