  • None expressed; 60 days is a statutory minimum.
  • A tenant given such a notice may give up possession before the end of the fixed term and, if the tenant gives at least 7 days written notice of intention to give up possession, is not liable for rent after the day possession is given up; if less than 7 days notice is given, the tenant is not liable for rent after the 7th day after notice is given to the landlord (s 83A(3)). That relief does not apply if the ground is one prescribed for the purposes of s 83A(4).
