Calculation basis and source
- Period
- 8 days
- Trigger
- Service by the registrar of notice under r 625(2)
- Counting

- Rollovers and holidays
- Holiday, closure and order treatment must be independently documented before publication.
This route remains in preparation until a pinpoint official source is recorded.
- UCPR r 7(1).
- Corrected on verification: the researched entry quoted r 625(6) as providing that 'the caveat lapses' and described the consequence as automatic lapse. The rule says no such thing. On the actual words the registrar MAY consider the application as if no caveat had been filed, which is a discretion, not a lapse; and the deadline is the date stated in the registrar's notice under r 625(2), capped at 8 days by r 625(3)(a). Nothing may be done on an application to which a caveat relates until at least 8 days after service of the r 625(2) notice (r 625(1)).
