- QCAT Act s 61: the tribunal may extend the period within which a person may apply for leave to appeal or make an appeal, even after it has passed (s 61(2)), subject to the prejudice limit in s 61(3). This is expressly noted in the note to s 143(4).
- 'Relevant day' under s 143(5) is: (a) where a s 122/135/138 style application under pt 7 div 5, 6 or 7 is made within 28 days after written reasons are given, the day that application is finally dealt with; or (b) where written reasons have not been given and were not requested or required, the day the person received notice of the decision; or (c) the day the person is given written reasons. Under s 6(7) an enabling Act may fix a different period.
