  • SCR r 3.02.
  • Runs from FILING the third party's appearance (which itself must be within the time limited for appearance, or such further time as the Court allows: r 11.08(1)), not from service of the third party notice. Service of a defence only, so the r 3.01(5) Registry roll-forward does not apply on its terms. Corrected on verification: the researcher gave the pinpoint as "r 11.09" and flagged the 14-day figure and the subrule letter as unverified, warning that Order 11 might renumber the pleading obligation across rr 11.08 to 11.10. It does not: r 11.08 is appearance, r 11.09 defence, r 11.10 counterclaim. The obligation is in r 11.09(1), the period is 14 days from filing the appearance, the pinpoint has been fixed and the flag cleared, on the Supreme Court Rules 1987 (NT) as in force at 23 June 2025 (official consolidation, legislation.nt.gov.au).
