- The offer notice may provide otherwise. On default the offeree may apply under r 26.05 for an order giving effect to the offer, staying or dismissing the proceeding, or striking out the defence.
- Default term implied into every money offer that does not say otherwise. Corrected on verification: the researcher set rollover to "next-open-day". Payment of a sum of money to the offeree is not "an act at the Registry of the Court", so Supreme Court Rules 1987 (NT) r 3.01(5) does not extend it, on exactly the reasoning the researcher correctly applied to the pure service obligations in rr 14.02, 14.04 and 14.05. Rollover changed to "none", which is the shorter and therefore safer date. Rule 26.02(5) itself is confirmed verbatim against the Supreme Court Rules 1987 (NT) as in force at 23 June 2025 (legislation.nt.gov.au).
