Rule 33.20(4) of the Federal Court Rules 2011 (Cth) fixes an express 21-day period running from service of the notice of appeal. The Note under r 33.20(2) referring to s 174 is not operative and would, if followed, produce a deadline measured from the Tribunal's statement of reasons instead. The cross-appeal must be served on each other party and on the Registrar of the Tribunal (r 33.20(5)), and the rules of Division 33.2 apply to a cross-appeal as if it were an appeal (r 33.20(1)).
