- Limitation Act 1985 (ACT) pt 3 postpones the bar in defined circumstances: s 30 (disability), s 32 (confirmation), s 33 (fraud and concealment), s 34 (mistake) and s 40 (latent damage to property and economic loss).
- Section 11 (2) yields to any other limitation period provided by the Act. Court Procedures Rules 2006 (ACT) r 6350 (3) (the 25 December to 1 January exclusion) does not extend a limitation period, because r 6350 (1) is confined to periods arising under the rules or a court order.
